EARLY LIFE OF SHARPE
In the initial years, it is known about Len Boogsie Sharpe that he used to work for Ray Holman. His career began in Starlit. He had also a great liking for steelpan and also held a great association for the Groove music orchestra. He won the first place in the competitions that took place in his times into eh years 1987 and 1988. He loved Steel pan so much that he used to play it from the age of four. Now he is teaching publicly how to deal with steelpan and has great many students learning from him. He started his career life by playing at Star lift, the invaders and this was the instrument that Ray Holman was using at the time when it was something new for music lovers. He never learned how to play steelpan. He knew that beforehand. He knew just how to play it. This came to him naturally. All that he would do was to listen attentively to the sounds originating from the steelpan and then replicated these sounds when he would practice. These were often learnt by him when he would attend the jazz sessions. Something that is quite striking about him is that he does not know how to read or write. Yet, he has a very powerful instinct in making fine music.

So Boogise has had a very fine time learning and making music. He does not give tuitions on a one-to one bias. He trains a whole group. He does not go for one to one classes at all. He believes in doing it publicly where one individual could seek inspiration from the other and thus peer help would mean greater output.
